Defensive Duty Knife
Most officers, soldiers and armed citizens carry a folding knife; however, few departments offer training with the knife as a force option.
The topics covered include blade selection, carry locations, attack angles, ground fighting, deployment and use of the knife, and specific target areas. This is not a knife fighting or martial arts class, but most techniques are based in traditional arts.
One day (operator) or two days (instructor). Instructor certification is also offered.
EQUIPMENT: No live weapons, duty belt and gear, eye protection, gloves and a long-sleeve shirt required. Training knives are provided. Offered with the support of SOG knives.
